Merry Christmas
Our sweet little tree! We were not going to do a tree this year and the closer we got to christmas the more i wanted a tree! So driving down Lombard there was a fella selling trees. All trees $10. I picked the smallest puniest tree and said, you really want $10 for it? He said they are all $10. That one over there,as he points to a nice, pretty, full, big tree that is a a $20 tree for only $10. I said I don't want that one. I want this one but not for 10, i'll give you $5. SOLD! so we got a sweet tree. Mara and i sat around and made ornaments out of yarn and scrap copper. tried to make popcorn but it got burnt! and here is our tree! the tree stand was too big for it we had to stuff it with a towel!

Let it snow, Let it snow, let it snow....
OR NOT!!!! I guess we gotta deal. Lets see what tonight brings. Snow, rain, freezing...ice. Sucks to be a house cleaner and have to travel to clients houses! Ha! Hope I can still make it around to clients tomorrow. Portland doesn't get snow much however; this winter, although a bit delayed by an extremely pleasant fall, we have been getting blasted by the bitter winter. Which caused us to get pent up and creative! Paints!!

Owen's new teddy
Becky and i went to a new 5 and dime store the other day and she JUST HAD TO buy him a new teddy. She said "Owen needs a teddy bear...." Even at my utmost denial of "need" she bought it for him anywho...(actually i bought it..wait how does that work??!)But regardless...he loves this damn teddy! Serves me right. I guess he did need it after all. Thanks aunt becky.
(and thanks to Nathan and Emily for the great birthday/christmas book. We read it every night before bedtime. Owen loves this book)
