Owen in a bucket

Our old family friends "The Bells" bought a resort/campground in Southern Indiana just outside Bloomington. They had their grand opening celebration while I was there so we took the treck to B-town and checked it out. This "bucket tractor" was there...Owen had a great time. The lake in the picture is Lake Monroe.

illinois

so i guess i didn't take many pics in illinois. It seems that someone else always had a camera out! It's a bit shocking really that my camera was not always going. Maybe i was just enjoying relaxing too much! So if any of ya all out there have some good pics from Illinois please pass them along.

Owen loved playing peek-a-boo in the "doggie window" you can see the play phone in his hand that he loved soo well. (By the way Marion, he loves that remote! It was great on the plane. Especially because it has a volume control!)

Logan and Owen

It was so good to see Logan and Jen. Logan was really excited to show Owen new tricks and actually be able to play with him.

more tractors

is this getting old yet?

the giant crane

my parents have property in Cole City and it used to be a big mining area. There are still some pieces of old equipment out in the fields and this is a GIANT crane. So cool. Owen thought so too. The first thing he said was "whooah". It's truly amazing when you are standing my that thing. You really begin to appreciate and understand the word gi-normous!

tractors galore

i am not sure who had more fun with this tractor??!! Aunt Kelly, Nathan or Owen. I only know that fun was had by all. If only we could have taken that tractor home on the plane with us! That is owen's newest obsession. HE LOVES TRACTORS. We went to the local farm here on Sauvie's Island yesterday and picked some strawberries and of course he took off (more like B-lined it) for the farm implements. (pictures comming soon...from Aunt Becca's camera! GET ON IT BECCA!)

cousins Nathan and Emily. Nathan was really excited to hang out with his "only boy cousin" he can not wait to teach him how to play football. It was great hanging out with them and watching them play.

Tractor ride with Grandpa Bob

back to life...back to reality...

here we are, Portland again. The fine things you come to take for granted until you visit the mid-west! AAHHHH...I can breath! We all had a bit of sinus and allergy upset on the trip, not soo bad but enough to make you appreciate the fresh air here. The last couple of days were a bit nasty for me which made the landing a bit harsh on my ears. I felt like the baby, crying because my ears hurt. Mike was soothing me and Owen was sleeping. What a change! Owen did great on the plane both times. Non-stop is definitely the way to go with kids! Never again will I travel with layovers and changing planes if I have anything to say about it. Next step...First Class!!! I am in the process of up loading photos and videos so look forward to many exciting photos and some quiet entertaining videos! (i.e. adult slip and slide!)
It was great to see everyone and sorry for not catching up with those who we wanted to see. I guess that means we will just have to plan another trip really soon. I am hoping for Owen's #2. (september) we'll have to see how pricey tickets are by then.

indoor chickens?

the chickens have become quite brave here today. they are starting to try to come inside! then owen and mike started feeding them crackers at the back door. can you say WISE MOVE! There is one picture where owen is pointing and kickin them out. We have also learned that they like my hostas :( they are eating away at them.

yogurt art

so i had to get an email out and gave owen some yogurt while i did so. i knew it was going to be a mess when i got back because he was so quiet. (The sacrifices we make in order to get things dome!)
