my new toy

I finally got a VW camper like I have always wanted!!! It's really ugly but cute in that VW way! It was only $200 and it runs! Original interior and lots of accessories. a little love and it will be a beauty!

last night Owen signed light. It is the first real sign. We think he did more before but it was kind of mixed in with clapping and he only did it with bananas. He has stopped doing that too. So light it is! Officially. Check it out.

our room

I worked on our room last week and created a mama/baby shrine! I had my alter already but it just was not visible to me and I didn't like that so I got a new dresser and hung some pictures and voila! (SP?)
There is also a shelf (bolted to the wall) for Owen with all his stuff on it. Cute huh? He can go a play in the corner when we are in our room and he is totally content. (usually..for a little bit at least!)
I am finally making Owen a blanket...? Cute huh?!

Geez, everyday it is something new!

These last few weeks have been really fun. Not that it hasn't all been fun, but he is starting to interact a lot more and hos personality is really shinning. Just last night he started doing pat-a-cake almost completely. He was just rolling it and at breakfast yesterday he started clapping. He was clapping before but this was clapping with intent. So i proceeded to sing pat-a-cake and he was clapping with me and all of a sudden when it came to roll it he rolled it! I thought "what a coincidence. Let's try again." so we did and he did it again. This time clapping in the "paaaat it" part. Wow, he is doing it! How exciting. So Wednesday is dinner with Bethany night and at dinner I was telling them about it and we started pat-a-cake and for the first time he "threw it in the oven" I was so amazed. So hopefully I will be able to get video of that and put it on later today. My big boy! He so great. He also started waving and doing "sooo big!" He doen't quite get the soo big yet. He puts his hand up to his big head and squeezes! It's great. His head IS soo big!

After picking up Bethany on Saturday we went to the Vancouver Farmers Market. There is a park there (the oldest park west of the Mississippi F.Y.I.) and we had our breakfast in the park and of course played.

Owen loves to swing

We have a park literally 2 blocks from us that we love to walk to. Finley loves it because she gets to run and Owen loves it because he gets to swing. I love it just because it's a park!! Here are some pics from our outing the other day. mmmm....bark dust!

the many boo-boos

I can not believe that owen is not totally black and blue since he has started pulling himself up on EVERYHTING! He has had sooo many tumbles. It seems like he would have a fear of tumbling and be more careful, that is definitly not the case! I think he has only become more gutsy. He is strong and daring. That scares me. I guess neither Mike nor I can deny he is ours! :)

Here is his boo boo from the shoe rack at work yesterday. I thought for sure it would leave a mark. I put some arnica on it and BAM gone! That stuff is great. I swore it was going to look like I abused him today. Not so much. YEAH.
