long time!

sorry, I was without internet for a bit and it's still hit or miss when i have it! Thanks to my wonderful friend Diana I now have a new computer. We are in the midst of working out a wonderful trade agreement and I now have my very own laptop! So where there's WIFI I have internet! However it's not easy to update the blog at coffee shops when Owen is running amidst and I am trying to work. So it will be a bit before I get a broadband card or something to become a bit more routine again with updating my blog. However while I am here I can tell you that we have had a nice fall and it actually feels like fall here. The weather has been so nice here. Sunny and NO RAIN! The leaves have been changing colors and blowing around and WOW...it's gorgeous. We rarely get to enjoy this time of year here since it's usually raining. So we have been going to the Punkin' Patches. Making squash soup, carving punkins and getting ready for halloween! I am excited. Keep posted for pics from the Halloween adventure!

It was Becky's birthday yesterday...."HAPPY #30 Becky!!" We had a great birthday weekend and spent alot of time outside and enjoying the fall.

I have not actually been taking many pictures lately...sorry. However I have been reinspired and I am on it. I can not find the charger for my video camera so it may be a bit before you get more video.

Birthday shots

Thanks everyone for coming to the birthday celebration. It was a great day and Owen had such a good time. I would love to have every ones pictures from the day. Especially the piano moving! Owen got a piano for his 2nd birthday thanks to our neighbor LouRay. She offered it a week ago and I thought...what better time than when there are a bunch of strapping young men to help! thanks guys.

We had our friend Hawkins come and play tunes for us. It's always nice to hear him. click on his name and check him out on myspace.

WOW! OWEN IS 2! All last night mike and i were talking about what we were doing 2 years ago at this time....watching the water birth informative video...haha! I made mike and mom watch it that night because i knew i was going into labor. they had no clue!
We are having a birthday shabang today if you are local and reading this please come by to share in the festivities! Here are a few recent pics. Owens has a buddy Donovan that is a month older then he is and they are like equals. Buddies, true little friends. It's great when they play and entertain each other.

so sorry all, i just realized it has been a bit since i posted. i didn't even get the rest of the pics from our trip uploaded. so....now we are planning the big #2 birthday party! which will definitely be photographed and posted! The most exciting thing was last night Mike and I sat down and finally watched the birth video! Wow. 2 years gone by and finally we watched it. I know i was fairly fortunate to only have a 9 hour labor but damn we was some intense work! I want to thank you Mother for doing such a fantastic job videoing the labor and birth. It was perfect. The very first shot was of the pots of water boiling on the stove and at one time there is a shot of Finley chilling on the chair like nothings up. I need to spend some time editing it but all n all its fab. Thanks so much.

I will be back soon with photos to upload. Currently Owen is climbing all over me.

oh...by the way...totally on his own....Owen has started using the toilet!!!! we are 5 days into it! (can't tell I am excited at all can ya??!!)

owens new toy

mom found him a great tricycle and wagon at a garage sale here so we were taking it for a test drive. He loved it. He at first wanted me to take it for a spin but quickly decided that that was not what he REALLY wanted and gave me the boot! So i thought he might enjoy giving me a ride...not a chance! But it was good times anywho!

indiana summer

we have spent more time in the water here than we have all summer in indiana. We went to my frind Matt and Molly's and they have a pool in their back yard. Molly is 4 months pregnant so she enjoyed the baby time. It took him a little bit to get used to the water. I think i found the one thing that he is intimidated by. I am acutally glad that he is a bit skiddish of the water. Although the more time we spend in it the more he is warming up. He went swimming at a gigantic aquatic center called the Monon Center with his cousins Nathan and Emily. They were very excited to show off their pool tricks to their "only boy cousin"!! Then yesterday we went to a friends parents house and went swimming there. It's funny the older you get the more common it is for all your old friends to have kids! We all had kids. And we all know each other from back in the day! Unfortunatly Alyissa and her kids left before I broke out the camera and J's babe was sleepin' almost the entire time. But we got pics of Owen and Logan together.

indy visit

we had a great trip on the plane to indy. I actually gave owen a high-5 and said thanks for being a good travel partner, budy. We had a really early flight so on 3 1/2 hours of sleep we got to to the airport and to the gate just as they were boarding. he refused his sleep on the first leg and then had a 2 hour layover in Phoenix. There was a little play area and some bigger boys that kept Owen running and totally exhausting him. The 2nd leg was 3 1/2 hours and he fell alseep after about 30 min. He even slept throught the landing. Both flights we had an empty seat next to us. VERY NICE! Our frind let us borrow her DVD player and that was nice for a few minutes. Until all he wanted to do was open and close it and touch the screen. However it was nice when he fell asleep i watched a movie! :)
