the whirl wind we call life

So, our trip was good. Now we are back. The end. Just kidding, of course. there is much more to It than that. I will gradually catch everyone up on the last month. Owen is walking, running and talking now. No more leisure time. He is a very busy boy, with no fear at that! That means I am on call 24/7.
So as soon as we got home from our trip I went to work "full time". Which is great. Leslie at

Lily Toad offered me "manager". which means more hours basically. A few more responsibilities too but a wonderful opp. I take Owen in with me and get experience running the show. So I have had no down time. Here are just a few pics from our trip.

On our way back from Mollola

We went a back road on the way back from Mollola and saw a great goat farm. I loved it. We also saw a great sign. The "Liberal Country Store" Nice, huh?! That place was a bit strange. Also this odd electrical panel down the street from our house that I just discovered today. It's a grey panel and it has a duck on it and says "midwest" weird? I thought so. I guess being from the midwest it hit me stranger than the average Joe!

On sunday we went to a friends 1st bday. Owen and Deghan have become good friends lately.

wow, busy weekend

SOOO many pics to post and I don't really feel like commenting on all of them. So I will paraphrase. On Saturday we went to Mollola for mama baby gathering. Amy lives by the river and we took a short hike to check it out. (Amy, Mike is still trying to figure out what kind of critter we saw. He is actually sitting right now with his NW Field Guide! He is determined it was a mink) It was really beautiful there and great to see all the babes getting so big. Owen is the only walker as of yet. But many are on their way. I never have my camera at work with me so today was exceptionally great. He figured out how to get up in the bouncy seat and hang out! We also got an order from Baby Legs in so he thought he would help me display them! After a rough day of chasing him around all day he started playing peek-a-boo behind the counter. At least when he is playing peek-a-boo he isn't getting into cords and hitting buttons on the credit card machine! He started walking yesterday. I think he finally figured it all out. Today he walked on several occasions.

Hey Pops, this ones for you! Recall the conversation the other day about cutting Owen's hair and not having a long haired hippie kid running around? My response to that comment was "whatever, I am going to take him in to get tattooed and pierced too!" Well here ya go! Thanks to Jason at Urban Soul Owen got his first tattoo! Thanks Jason! The piercings are next.

Krugers

We have been going to Kruger's Farm Market out on Sauvie Island on Thursday evenings to see music lately. It is a wonderful family oriented place and all the kids have such a great time. Owen loves all the stimulation. He climbed up in the lawn chair and sat in it like a big boy! It was crazy cute! He didn't like the sunglasses however! I did though! Enjoy

okay here are a few new good pics. We got him a new highchair! It is sooo sweet. It is straight from the 70's. The hand painted mushrooms and flowers and the big bumble bee. I love it. He seems to like it too! You can't ell but in the picture where he is in the high chair and his hand is up in the air he is actually signing the word milk! Too cute!
